The best hours for fishing in Tampa Bay tend to be the first couple of hours after the sun sets which is why we have a top of the line night fishing light mounted on our boat. The couple of hours after the sun goes down are generally action packed because this is when fish in Tampa Bay become more active. In the darkness fish like sheepshead and mullet move around the grass flats without fear of predators that would otherwise easily spot them under the sunlight, big mistake!
